Hello everyone in the Universe!
It is me again.
I always apologize for my absence but this time I think I will just say that I miss you all and I have been preparing to see you all again soon. I am currently recording in London with Train, after an eternity of writing and changing and writing and changing.
The band has been through a lot in the course of the past couple of years, as you know. There are no regrets in this life, as is said, and this is no exception. Train in it's current state, is getting back to the basics. Scott and Jimmy and I are going to be moving into the future together without Johnny and Brandon. We want great things for them and are very appreciative of their great work and friendship over the years and now is the time for us all go in directions that make sense to us, personally and professionally.
I'm sure that most of you have already been checking out all the fun and current stuff on trainline.com and all the myspace and facebook pages that I don't visit nearly enough. After the record is recorded and we are out of the studio and in a tour bus, I can catch up on all my keeping up. Scott and Jimmy are doing a great job with Justine and our new management.
Yes, we have new management. The Jon Landau people were great to me and Train for many years and I am a huge fan of them but along with all of the other changes, this was one that seemed to make sense for us and them.
CRUSH Management has taken over and we couldn't be happier with them and everything they do. The vision that they have and the way of helping us has already made a huge difference. So, be prepared for some great changes.
As far as the record goes, we decided to work with a guy named Martin Terefe. He is known for his work with KT Tunstall and Jason Mraz. He is helping us get back to what we know best and he's doing a superb job at it. Feels kinda like making our first record, except way more fun.....and European.
We have some shows that we'll be doing this summer. I think they're up on the sites. They'll be great fun and we plan to throw new material in the sets. Might wanna catch these shows because we may be doing some songs for the last time.
The last news that I will throw out there is that my solo record, Last of Seven, has been worked into a musical called 755. It is really awesome. My friend, David Skovron has written it and it may take a little while to get all the pieces put together and up and running but when it's out, holy shit! Watch out!
Okay, always sending my love and best wishes to you all. Please watch Zeitgeist The Movie and Zeitgeist Addendum.
They are awesome. Go to www.zeitgeistmovie.com .....
Let me know what you think and keep September open...they'll be a whole lotta music listening to do!!!
Love, Pat
